We are already planning our return trip to stay with the Guilds and hopefully bringing friends and family to share the experience with us!įrequently Asked Questions Can I drive from Geraldine to Arthur's Pass National Park? We didn't enjoy the best ski conditions of our lives – not that Simon and his crew can control that anyway – but we were still guided to the best conditions possible and also had an incredible heliski day with Kevin at Methven heliski. From the food to the wine and the accommodation, everything is taken care of and delivered to such a standard that rivals some of the most high-end luxury heliski lodges I have stayed at in Canada. If you're looking to experience the club fields and the wider Canterbury region the way the locals do then you cannot do better than a stay at High Peak. From the moment our flight landed, until we were back at the airport ready to check-in Simon and his family delivered the most amazing experience we have ever had on a ski trip and every detail was taken care of. My fiancé and I had the most amazing stay with the Guild family. The Methven Heritage Centre definitely delivered more than we were initially expecting and is well worth a visit. The facility also boasts full conference facilities catering to corporate and interest groups, trade shows and productions and includes a Function and Boardroom with a fully equipped kitchen. A full scale climb aboard Header gives you a real feel for farming life. Points of interest include the inner workings of a cows digestive system and how they produce milk, resources of the region and the landscape. A ticket only look at the rural community that makes up Methven and the wider mid Canterbury region. The Hall of Memories is a free of charge walk down memory lane of Methven’s contribution to World Wars 1 & 2. Local art is displayed thoughout the centre adding to the cultural experience. The friendly staff were helpful and informative. The Methven Information and Heritage Centre is a first point of call for visitors to the area wanting to find out more about the region as well as what’s on and what to do.
